A well established and growing business organisation is currently seeking an experienced Sales Administrator to join their team. A busy and varied role, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business.

The candidate must be a team player with good all-round internal and external communication skills in a pressured environment. They should also be computer literate with all aspects of Microsoft Office. Preferably the candidate will be able to multi-task. The company will support the right candidate with continued in-house training, enabling them to be successful in this diverse role.

Role of a Sales Administrator

The role of the Sales Administrator is to provide pro-active and efficient sales administration support to the Commercial Director.

Responsibilities of the Sales Administrator

  • Receiving and processing both telephone and website enquiries/orders direct from customers
  • Advise and assist customers with related product enquiries and in turn process the enquiries into successful orders
  • Completing quotations for customers and clients
  • Handling incoming customer enquiries and processing quotations for both IT and Caging departments
  • General office administration duties, including answering and transferring calls
  • Entering accurate data on Excel
  • Working closely with the Sales team and supporting with paperwork
  • Use LinkedIn to generate new business by finding and approaching prospective clients
  • Use LinkedIn to join industry relevant groups, participating in customer discussions to promote our products and services
  • Use social media as a social listening tool to generate warm leads
  • Help generate website articles based around specific topics and keywords to help our search engine ranking
  • Research online directories (free and paid) where we can list our company with a link to the website
  • Find industry relevant forums and blogs – add relevant comments with links to other articles on our website that may be of interest to the author and reader
  • Assist marketing with lead generation projects

What we’re looking for in a suitable candidate

  • We are looking for a Sales Administrator who will be accustomed to working in a sales environment and possess excellent attention to detail. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications, in particular, Word and Excel, you must be confident with a can-do approach to work and more importantly a professional manner.
