We’re cycling through the office developments

Over these last few months, we’ve continued to provide updates on redevelopments taking place at Cross-Guard’s Head Office, including the addition of a new first aid room, the commencement of work to expand the existing carpark, our partnership with Flextraction to introduce new welding bays, and the investment of over £300,000 in new factory machinery. It has certainly been a busy and exciting time for the Cross-Guard team!

We’re delighted to let you know the Cross-Guard carpark is coming along nicely. We’re now able to share photos of the end result. As you can see, the carpark has a smooth finish thanks to the hard work and effort of the Cross-Guard team. The number of carparking spaces has now increased with plans to create further bays dedicated to visitors.

Another change we’ve been working on recently is the addition of a bike shelter at the Scunthorpe premises. The decision to create this shelter came into effect following the launch of a workplace cycle to work scheme to promote employee health and wellbeing.

Another change we’ve been working on recently is the addition of a bike shelter at the Scunthorpe premises. The decision to create this shelter came into effect following the launch of a workplace cycle to work scheme to promote employee health and wellbeing.

The cycle to work scheme allows employees to benefit from tax relief when purchasing a bike through the workplace with the possibility of paying for the bike in monthly instalments. There are also additional benefits available such as discounts on cycling accessories.

Maintaining good health and wellbeing through regular exercise is strongly encouraged in the Cross-Guard workplace. While some employees are engaging in marathons and park run, one of the company’s directors also attends a local gym in the middle of the day to train colleagues who are interested in stamina and weight training. Those attending the gym have formed a ‘Cross-Guard Cross-Fit’ group, complete with a competitive progress chart.
