Creating a sustainable environment
As a responsible employer, Cross-Guard is always looking for ways to reduce waste and to go green, in order to help the environment. A recent implementation by the Cross-Guard team was a dedicated bike shelter, trying to push the cycle to work scheme to reduce levels of pollution and to do our small part to also ease traffic congestion on the roads.
We recently stumbled across the #TeamTrees initiative and decided to help raise awareness for any of employees, clients and stakeholders who would like to donate to a great cause. In collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable organisation, volunteers have gathered with the aim to plant 20 million trees across the globe before 1st January 2020. In order to do this, they are campaigning to raise $20 million. If you’d like to donate, you can do so here: https://teamtrees.org/
Trees are a vital source of oxygen on the planet. They provide us with oxygen, while storing carbon and stabilising soil. Important for wildlife, trees also provide food and shelter. By planting more trees, volunteers will be helping secure a sustainable future across the globe. We wish the #TeamTrees volunteers and the Arbor Day Foundation the best of luck in their mission.
