Awareness of COVID-19

Coronavirus, COVID-19, is gaining increased visibility within worldwide media. A high-priority concern to the public, COVID-19 is having an unprecedented impact on global businesses and the economy in general. It’s important that we work in unity to protect the vulnerable and to mitigate the risks where possible. This includes encouraging good hygiene practice, asking people to work from home where practical, and urging anyone with symptoms of the Coronavirus, such as cough, sore throat and fever, to self-isolate.

What does this mean for Cross-Guard?

We’re taking active steps to safeguard those who access our premises, closely following official advice. The health and wellbeing of employees, contractors, visitors to site and families is our number 1 priority. Some of the measures we’ve put in place include:

  • Employee briefings to raise awareness of the virus and to encourage self-isolation and/or working from home where necessary to limit the spread of the illness
  • Hand sanitiser stations located in entrances and strict cleaning policies introduced for work stations
  • Availability of official guidance documents and information on symptoms and support
  • New procedures for visitors, couriers and deliveries

We’d like to reassure clients and stakeholders that we remain open and are operating with normal business hours in effect. UK deliveries and installations will continue as usual as we have our own internal delivery drivers and dedicated installation team for IT products. Clients based outside the UK are advised to get in touch to discuss available options so we can find a viable solution with logistical challenges to overcome due to current circumstances.

We’ll continue to keep you informed as we monitor the situation, and you’ll still receive the same high-quality products and services you have come to expect. It’s an unnerving time for the general public, but together we can get through this.

Advice to employees, clients and stakeholders

The main advice we can give to employees, clients and stakeholders is to practice good hand hygiene and to show support for one another. If you suspect you have symptoms of the Coronavirus, don’t hesitate to self-isolate in order to protect those around you. We’d encourage you to consult official guidance for further support. You can find documentation on Coronavirus, COVID-19, by visiting the HSE and the NHS websites. A final message from us: stay safe, stay positive and don’t panic.
