Meet Connor – our new Sales Assistant
The team at Cross-Guard continues to grow so we can better serve clients and deal with increased demand. In March, we welcomed our new Grilles Sales Assistant Connor, who joins the team with a background of working in a very challenging sales role in London. Read Connor’s interview below:
Why did you apply to work at Cross-Guard?
I felt I’d be a good fit for the position as I had relevant skills and experience to match the role criteria. I wanted the opportunity to work within a busy, varied sales role to add value and make a difference.
How have you found working at Cross-Guard?
It’s been brilliant so far! Everyone has been helpful and eager to support my learning. Carl (Grilles Manager) is helping me understand the security grille products and customer requirements – he’s a bundle of knowledge on the subject. He has definitely helped me gain a better understanding of the products and the market.
What do you enjoy most about your role as a sales assistant?
I am currently training and learning all there is to know about the products. However, I’m most looking forward to the social part of my role and getting to know people. I enjoy interacting with clients and building lasting relationships based on mutual trust and respect. I want to deliver the best service possible and solutions that will really work for our clients.
What is your previous experience of sales?
I previously worked within a sales role in London which was very fast-paced. I worked on numerous campaigns to sell varying products. One day I could be working on selling consumer goods such as crisps, the next day it’d be something entirely different. This required me to be very adaptable and flexible, skills which I bring to my new role.
Do you have an interesting fact about yourself you’d like to share?
I’m a fully trained musical theatre performer, actor and singer, and I starred in my first role in a London show at age 11. I enjoy a busy lifestyle, working hard at the weekend to also pursue my passion for acting.
