The business improvements are racking up

We previously shared with you an update on our factory, whereby we informed you about upgrades made to our welding bays for even more advanced employee health and safety. Health and safety is at the forefront of our business and we’re always keen for employees to benefit from a modernised, clean and safe environment.

Cross-Guard continues to make investments. Another new improvement in the factory involves the addition of further racking to accommodate an increase in stock for our clients. Due to increasing demand, we’re keen to be able to expand the stock items we hold for shorter lead times and better service. One such item is our wire mesh caging, which we now hold in stock and cut to size with the help of the addition of a new guillotine.

Addition of new racking

The factory team has been busy installing extra racking in three different areas, facilitating the creation of further space in the factory and keeping the workplace organised. This reduces any potential hazards as stock is tucked safely out the way. By placing our security caging behind the racking we’re also keeping stock securely in place to prevent it from falling if the racking is pushed or jolted – an additional health and safety measure implemented as a precaution. There’s still more racking to come as we continue to expand.

What the racking means for our wire mesh cages

Our wire mesh caging is becoming increasingly popular with data centre and IT clients. Used primarily for server security, wire mesh cages are light and flexible, allowing increased airflow to servers to help prevent hot spots. You can find out more by visiting the dedicated wire mesh page on our website.

The new racking helps ensure we can hold wire mesh and cut to size, which in turn reduces client lead times for this item. We’re always focussed on reducing lead times to deliver high-quality products and solutions at swift turnaround times, wherever clients are based in the world.
