Making a difference: Cross-Guard shortlisted for Energy and Sustainability award

Cross-Guard recently entered the Make UK manufacturing awards to be in the running for the Energy and Sustainability award for the North East, Yorkshire and Humberside region. This week, we were pleased to find that we had been shortlisted for this award and invited to attend the formal ceremony on 7^th October. We hope to bring back an award this year, please wish us luck!

What are the Make UK Manufacturing awards?

The Make UK Manufacturing awards are designed to share achievements of UK manufacturers. During the ceremony, there will be lots of publicity and opportunities to network and connect with likeminded individuals and professionals within the industry.

Why did we enter the Energy and Sustainability category and what did our entry focus on?

We entered the Energy and Sustainability award as we’re very focussed on creating a greener world and do a lot of work in relation to this. Not only do we promote energy efficiency and sustainable practices within our own business, implementing things such as bike shelters and encouraging cycle to work schemes, but we’re also leading the way by promoting products that drive energy efficiency on a massive global scale for all our clients.

Our cold aisle containment and hot aisle containment products are the perfect example as they drive energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprint for various industries. We primarily focus on assisting the data centre industry with the implementation of these solutions as data centres are power houses that consume an immense amount of energy, so benefit more from our aisle containment solutions.
